Adopt A Square Calculator
Adopt A Square is a board where every square costs a different amount — square 1 is $1, square 2 is $2, all the way to square 100 at $100. There is no prize pool and no game attached; people are sponsoring a square, so every dollar goes to the cause. A full 100-square board at $1 steps is $5,050, and because the price escalates there is genuinely a square at every budget. This works out the total for any combination of squares, starting price and step.
Questions people ask
Why does the step matter so much?
Because the board value is the sum of the whole series, not an average. Doubling the step doubles the board: $1 steps make $5,050, $2 steps make $10,100.
What if we do not sell every square?
The cheap squares go first, so a half-sold board raises far less than half. That is why the calculator has a fill percentage — plan for the realistic number, not the full board.
Do sponsors win anything?
No, and that is the point — it is a sponsorship, not a pool. Every dollar goes to the program, which makes it the simplest fundraiser to explain to a donor who does not follow sport.
We handle the selling, the collecting, the chasing and the scoring — numbers draw themselves, winners are worked out from the real scoreboard, and everyone can see the board on their phone. You keep 100% of what you raise.
